FROM STUDIO TO STARTUP: WHY WE BUILT 24/7 ARTISTS
I’m Yudu Gray Jr., one of the co-founders of 24/7 Artists—a music entrepreneur, creative coach, and former studio engineer who’s spent the last 20+ years helping artists turn their talent into real careers. From building House Studios with my wife Davina to launching this platform, my mission has always been the same: create access where there wasn’t any.
What happens when you realize talent isn’t enough?
That question lit the fuse for everything we’ve built—from House Studios to 24/7 Artists.
I got my start in music the way most people dream of—inside a studio, shadowing a pro. My mentor Paul Minor wasn’t just a Grammy-winning engineer; he was a vault of stories, hard lessons, and creative truth. Watching him work showed me the real music industry. The one most people never get to see.
Every session taught me something—but the biggest lesson?
Access is everything.
And most artists don’t have it.
HOUSE STUDIOS WAS OUR FIRST ANSWER
My wife Davina and I built House Studios as a response. We wanted to create a space where artists didn’t just record—they learned. They built confidence. They connected with a community that cared.
That mission led us to work with legends and launch careers. But even in our proudest moments, we kept coming back to one thing: how many talented people never even get in the room.
When the pandemic hit, the world stopped—but our phones didn’t. Artists were still calling. Still creating. Still trying to figure it out. So we did what we always do: we picked up.
Those calls became a rhythm. Daily check-ins turned into strategy sessions. Eventually, we realized we weren’t just helping—we were building something new.

We built 24/7 Artists to answer the question we kept hearing:
“Where do I go to really learn the business?”
The truth is, most artists are incredibly talented—but they’re stuck guessing. Guessing how to release music. Guessing how to build a team. Guessing what success actually looks like. We knew it didn’t have to be that way.
So we brought our strengths together to build a better path.
Davina leads with empathy and insight. She has a gift for seeing the full person behind the music—what they need, what they’re struggling with, and how to help them grow. She’s the heartbeat of our community and the reason so many artists feel seen, heard, and empowered.
KC is the architect of clarity. He takes the chaos and turns it into structure—mapping out systems, timelines, and processes that make the impossible feel doable. He’s the reason our platform actually works, guiding artists step by step from vision to execution.
And I bring the blueprint. My strength is seeing the full picture—where an artist is, where they want to go, and how to get them there in a way that’s sustainable, not just flashy. I’ve lived every part of this industry, and now I get to pour that experience into a platform that scales.
